Support Feel Better Farm

So, here’s the thing about me. I hate asking for help. I will literally injure myself before I ask for help (7 joint surgeries, people. 7!)
I realize this is a me issue and it is not conducive to running an animal rescue.

Feel Better Farm was my dream, so I find it extra difficult to ask for help. From my board, from my friends, from you.

I try to make it by on with the few core financial supporters that we have, without asking for more, but that’s not a sustainable model, and its really hurting us now.

We are so fortunate to have a caring community and generous vendors. Some examples are –
Our neighbor, Matt, donating a dozen round bales
American Association of Equine Practitioners providing no cost vaccines
Our wonderful hay man, Tony, who brings me rounds when I need them.
Purina providing feed coupons twice year through A Home For Every Horse
Blue Ridge Farmers Coop donating feed and saving busted bags for us
Our wonderful farrier, Blair, who is so flexible and takes care of our horses and goats
Our amazing foster homes
And next week we get a visit from The American School of Equine Dentistry, who will float 14 horses teeth at a reduced cost.

Almost everyone is on grass right now, but winter is coming and we go through about $5000 in hay over the winter. Veterinary bills are adding up, I will need to pay for the dentists on Thursday (look out for those pictures) And feed. There is always feed.

We’ve been asked to help with a large seizure in Wise County, which will involve the need to build new fowl housing, which will be another expense.

I simply cannot get by and keep helping animals with the income that we currently receive.

Most of that is my fault, because I do not ask. I’m working on it.

So here I am, my first step in the 12 step program of Sarah learning to ask for help.

If you are able and inclined, please help me keep Feel Better Farm alive.

I’ll add a FB fundraiser to this post, but it does take over a month for those funds to arrive.
