Dear Feel Better family:

First, let me thank you again for your support of our rescue and our animals. We’ve had a number of last-minute requests this year… from moving Cassidy and Ladybug up from Mississippi, to bailing out Grace and “Sweet Girl” (still trying to figure her tattoo and original name) and their substantial emergency and ongoing veterinary needs, and I could not be more grateful. We have also had our hearts warmed by some of the animals moving out to either foster or forever homes – I hope you’ve had a chance to see the Facebook pictures of Chewy, Happy, Taos, and Whiskey enjoying their new accommodations!

It’s a busy time of year for everyone, but giving these wonderful animals a second chance always comes with the need for more: more food, more hay, and more vet care. Grace is living up to her name as we treat her hoof infection, and she is now recovering from the canker surgery; she has to stay inside on dry surfaces for now, and her vet bills unfortunately match her considerable size. We will also be going through a lot of hay in the coming weeks as central Virginia prepares for a cold snap and the possibility of a white Christmas.

As you consider your end-of-year giving and any final tax deductions, I ask that you please consider supporting our mission once again – and if you might be willing, to share this note with others who may be willing to do the same. Donations are welcome via PayPalFacebook, and Venmo (@FeelBetterFarm). If you prefer to mail a check, our new mailing address is PO Box 106, 977 Seminole Trail, Charlottesville VA 22901.

Thank you, as always, for your consideration. Happy holidays, and cheers to what 2023 may bring.

Sincerely,

Sarah Barwick
