Bess

Sweet Bess has been living with her foster parents, Karl and Carole, for several months now. She and Icy are really happy there, but they’ve noticed that Bess’s ringbone (arthritis) has been getting progressively worse. This isnt surprising, in fact it is to be expected, but it was time to take a more aggressive approach to her management.  This week Bess went into Keswick Equine Clinic for x-rays and we decided to start with injections into the joint. She should get full relief within about 2 weeks. Hopefully this treatment will last a while, but we do have the option to move on to shock wave treatment to break up some of the arthritic changes.

We are forever grateful to Karl and Carole for providing for her care and safety, and to the Bennett family for helping facilitate her veterinary needs.
