Luna Update

Luna has really started to settle in.

For the first week or so she was really unsure about grain and meals. She was happy to eat: grass, chopped forage, hay, but grain and the mashes we want her to eat seemed foreign to her. I had to take her meals out to her and feed her a handful at a time for a few days until she realized that soaked senior mashes are nommy.

But she’s super clear how good they are now. She meets me at the gate when I bring her meals, which she gets 3 times a day and she loves cuddles and kisses.

The worry lines are getting less and less, although she is still wary, which is understandable.

We have her on gut, joint and senior supplements, along with daily Equioxx for any pain she has.

Next week we’ll worm her, but I wanted her to be eating steadily first.

Myles Hopton of Pegasus Equine Services has also sponsored Magnawave therapy and some Ostepathy treatment for her, so I’ll update on that when it happens.

Im excited for her to start feeling better. Its slow going, and that is normal, but she is making progress both physically emotionally.

If you’d like to help with her care, any donation is gratefully accepted.
